DPW Officials Lay Out Christmas Tree Disposal Rules

Collection will start in January.

Natural Christmas trees will be collected curbside the first two full weeks after the New Year's holiday beginning Monday, Jan. 7, 2013,  weather permitting.

That was the word from Department of Public Works officials on Monday.

The trees will not be picked up by the trash or recycling trucks. They will be collected by a separate vehicle.
