Air National Guard Moving Trees in Vernon

U.S. Congressman Joe Courtney sent out a tweet early this afternoon announcing that the Connecticut Air National Guard has sent 60 troops to Vernon to help "clear impassable roads."

U.S. Congressman Joe Courtney sent out a tweet early this afternoon announcing that the Connecticut Air National Guard has been deployed to help remove trees and help CL&P crews access circuits in need of repair. 

Gov. Dannel P Malloy said that 425 soldiers from the army and the National Guard are assisting CL&P and private crews throughout the state during a press conference held earlier this morning. He also said that the sewage treatment plant is "up and running."

Calls made to Courtney's office, Mayor Jason McCoy and Gov. Dannel P Malloy's office have not yet been returned
