Vernon Police assigned a $250,00 after arresting a Tolland woman on Saturday.

A Tolland woman who police described as a habitual shoplifter was scheduld to appear in court Mondday after a weekend incident at the local Price Chopper, according to an arrest report.

On Saturday at 4:26 p.m., Vernon police were called to the Price Chopper in the Tri-City Plaza because the store's loss prevention unit was detaining a woman who attempted to shoplift, police said.

Police identified the woman as Susan Kuhnly, 49, of 27 Clarke Road, Tolland.

Police did not describe what she attempted to steal.

Police said because of her ''extensive history of larceny and failure to appear,'' Khunly was assigned a $25,000 bond and remained in the Vernon Police Department lockup until her 9 a.m. scheduled court date, according to an arrest report.

She is facing a sixth-degree larceny charge, police said.
