A South Windsor woman has been charged with driving under the influence after an erratic driving incident on Route 83, police said.
At 8:51 p.m., police said Claire Dusik, 49, of 20 Pheasant Way, South Windsor, was observed drifting into a breakdown lane along Route 83, police said.
She was pulled over and an officer detected a strong odor of alcohol, according to an arrest report.
Dusik than failed a series of field sobriety tests and was taken into custody, police said.
In addition to DUI, she is facing an improper lane change, police said. She was released on a $1,000 bond and is due in court on jan. 30, according to an arrest report.

An East Hartford man is accused of damaging a vehicle in town.
Police charged Robert Fleeting, 45 of 124 Risley St., East Hartford, with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree criminal mischief at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday. according to an arrest report.
He was re4leased on a written promise to appear in court ion Jan. 31, police said.
