Woman Facing Charges Related to Liquor Store Incident

She allegedly drove off with a bottle, police said.

A local woman is facing a sixth-degree larceny charge after she allegedly stole a bottle of liquor from a Vernon establishment and fled the scene in a motor vehicle, police said.

Tammy Jordan, 40, of 28 Morrison St., surrendered to Vernon police at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, according to an arrest report. A warrant had been issued for her arrest for the larceny charge and for operating a vehicle under suspension, police said.

She was assigned a court date of March 12 on a $750 bond, police said.

The liquor store incident took place on Feb. 2, police said.
