Woman Charged Twice in January for Domestics

The latest incident was on Friday, police said.

For the second time in 22 days, a Vernon woman stands accused of an offense related to domestic violence.

Heather Petrozza, 33, of 131 Jonathan Dr., was taken into custody on Friday, at 9:20 p.m.

According to an arrest report, Petrozza allegedly slapped her boyfriend following an argument, then tried to grab his phone to prevent him from calling 911. She also allegedly punched him in the face during the altercation, according to an arrest report.

She was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, interfering weigh an emergency call and violating a protective order. She was being held on a $10,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.

Petrozza has another outstanding domestic case. On Jan 3, she was charged with second-degree breach of peace after allegedly striking her boyfriend, according to an arrest report.

She was out in $500 bond in that case, according to judicial department records.
