Woman Allegedly Hits Officer While Being Released From DUI Charge

Police said the woman was brought back into the station after the incident.

A Vernon resident who was being released from custody for a DUI incident early Saturday wound up being brought back into the police station after assaulting an officer, according to an arrest report.

The saga of Lisa Michelle Pane began at 1:54 a.m. on Saturday. While conducting a separate traffic stop in the area, an offer noticed a vehicle operated by Pane drive by with a flat tire in the eastbound lane of Rollingview Drive, according to an arrest report.

Pane, 40, lives at 25 Russell Dr., according to police records.

She was stopped at the intersection of Rollingview and Tunnel Road and transported back to Vernon police headquarters and charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving and her bond was set at $1,000, police said.

Police said a friend came to the police station to take Pane home at 4:39 a.m., but in the process of being released, Pane approached the arresting officer and began arguing with him.

As the officer attempted to escort her back inside to a seat in the station foyer, Pane hit the officer, according to an arrest report.

Police said Pane was re-arrested, escorted back down to the booking room and processed again and fingerprinted for assaulting an officer.

The bond for that charge was set at $5,000, police said.

Pane is court on Dec. 13 for the assault charge and one day earlier for the DUI and the moving violation, according to police records.
