Woman Charged After Wild Scene on Terrace Drive
Thursday's incident marks her second arrest since August.
A Vernon woman with a history of domestic violence is again facing charges after an outburst at her home, according to an arrest report.
Officers were called to 191 Terrace Dr. at 1:15 a.m. on Thursday where Melissa Davis, 26, who lives at that address, was fighting with her live-in boyfriend, police said.
She has been charged with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace and risk of injury to a child, according to an arrest report.
The boyfriend had minor injuries, police said. The risk of injury charge stems from Davis allegedly throwing furniture around the home near a sleeping child, police said.
Davis has also been charged with interfering/resisting for scuffling with officers after they arrived, police said. She resisted being handcuffed and then wrestled with police as they tried to put her in the back seat of a cruiser.
Davis wriggled one hand out of the cuffs and had to be re-cuffed, police said.
It is the second domestic violence arrest in nine months for Davis, police records indicate. She was taken into custody for a scuffle with hr boyfriend last August, police records indicate.
