Weekend Police Activity

Traffic enforcement leads to charges.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Vernon Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.



A Vernon couple is facing charges after a domestic dispute at 631 Talcottvile Rd., police said.

An argument turned physical between Jeremy Berasi, 38 and Tanya Mahoney, 35 at 1:27 MOnday morning, police said. Pushing, shoving and a broken cells phone were a result, police said.


Both have been charged with second-degree breach of peace and Mahoney was charged with interfering with an emergency call, police said. Both were to appear in court on Monday on $500 bonds, police said.



Aaron Jordan, 37, of 28B Morrison St., is facing a second-degree breach of peace charge after a domestic dispute at 8:10 p.m. on Saturday, police said. His bond was set at $500 and he was assigned a court date of Monday, police said.



Jennifer Karliner, 18, of 37 Oxbow Dr., and a juvenile were charged with second-degree breach of peace after an incident at 1:33 a.m. on Saturday at 144 Regan Rd., police said.

Karliner's bond was set at $500 and was expected in court on Monday, police said.

Information regarding the juvenile is exempt from disclosure, according to state law.



Daniel Straut, 23, of 58 Spring St., was charged with second-degree breach of peace and violating a protective order at 9 p.m. on Friday after a domestic incident, police said.

He was to appear in court on Monday on a $5,000 bond, police said.



Kevin Ulitsch, 25, of 94 Main St., was taken into custody in the center of Rockville on Friday at 3:12 p.m. on an outstanding warrant related to an incident on April 9, police said.

He was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace, second-degree strangulation, second-degree threatening, and first-degree unlawful restraint, police said.

His bond was set at $7,500 and he was to appear in court on Monday, police said.

Police issued the following charges related to traffic enforcement patrols or checkpoints over the weekend, according to an arrest report:

April 21, 8:10 p.m. - Alfred Aberle, 59, 10 Lewis St., Apt. A3, DUI.
Bond: $250.
Court date: April 30.

April 21, 5:17 p.m., West Main Street - Melissa Wilson, 29, of 35 Tower Rd., East Hartford, possession of marijuana and possession of ecstasy and valium.
Bond: $1,500.
Court date: May 1.

April 21, 12:50 a.m. - Mary Falkowski, 22, of 11 Gardner Rd., DUI, driving in an improper lane, possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana.
Bond: $500.
Court date: April 30.
