Vernon Woman Facing a Weapons Charge

Police were called to a domestic disturbance at Dobbs Crossing on Wednesday.

What began as a domestic call for Vernon police on Halloween Night wound up being a weapons charge against a Vernon woman, law enforcement records indicate.

Police were called to 1170 Hartford Turnpike - the Dobbs Crossing complex - at 10:57 p.m. on Wednesday, a police report indicates.

During the incident, Shannon King, 28, who lives at Apt. C25 in the complex, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, disorderly conduct, interfering with police and the illegal possession of a dangerous weapon, police said.

A police report did not outline the toy of weapon in question.

King was release after positing a $2,500 bond and was to appear in court on Monday, police said.
