Vernon Weekend Police Blotter

Police responded to a domestic and a car crash.

An 18-year-old Vernon man has been charged with second-degree breach peace after a "physical altercation" with a woman at their apartment, police said.

The incident took place at 11:45 Sunday night, police said. He lives at 2 Rau St., police said. Yang allegedly pushed the woman into a window and the window broke, according to an arrest report.

Yang is  due in court on Monday on a $500 bond, police said.



A Vernon man has been charged with evading, failure to drive right and driving under the influence after a car crash near his home on Saturday morning, police said.

At 1:29 a.m. on Saturday, Joseph Pane, 21, of 25 Russell Dr., crashed his vehicle into a utility pole and left the scene.

The crash was at 47 Russell Dr., police said.

He failed a standardized field sobriety test and was taken into custody after being located at his home, police said. He is due on court on Dec. 10, police said.
