Vernon Toys for Tikes Drive Under Way

The collection is sponsored by the Firefighters Association.

The Vernon Volunteer Firefighters Association is again conducting its Toys for Tikes drive to benefit needy children in the community.

New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the following locations:

• Animal City, 35 Talcottville Rd.

• Court House Plus, 47 Hartford Tpke.

• Crystal Blueprint, West Main Street.


• Fancy Feet Pet Grooming,  593 Talcottville Rd.

• First Niagara Bank, 348 Hartford Turnpike.

• Jumpin’ Jonnies, 234 Talcottville Rd.

• Larry’s Sales/Repair, 260 Talcottville Rd.

• Rein’s Deli, 435 Hartford Turnpike.

• Rockville Bank,  Lafayette Branch, Hyde Avenue.

• Suburban Subaru, Route 83.

• Vernon Police headquarters, Route 30 and West Road.

• Vernon Public Safety Complex, 280 West Road.

• Vernon Town Hall, 14 Park Place.

Toys will be collected through Saturday, Dec. 15. 

Distribution to families who have pre-registered with the Hockanum Valley Community Council will be completed on Monday, Dec. 17, after 7 p.m.

It is the hot word to use these days and is purposely being used incorrectly to gain attention. Bullying is repeated aggressive behavior. There was none of that.
