Enfield, Vernon, Manchester, Broad Brook, East Granby and as far away as North Haven and New York sent firefighters and apparatus to participate in South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department's parade, timed to coincide with both the department's 75th anniversary and the Connecticut Firefighters Convention Sunday.

Vernon won the award for best appearing rescue in the state and the steamer won the Veterans Choice Award.
