Vernon police have issued the following news release about a motor vehicle crash early Saturday morning:

On May 18, 2013 at approximately 0006 hours the Vernon Police department received a complaint of an evading motor vehicle accident between a car and a motorcycle on Talcottville Road (RT 83) near the intersection of Pitkin Road. It was reported to the Vernon Police that the car fled the scene. The vehicle was described as a dark colored sedan. A passenger side mirror was recovered at the scene that indicated it was from a Honda. The car is expected to have passenger side damage. The operator of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
