Vernon Police Searching for Stolen Pickup

The incident took place overnight, police said.


Police are searching for a pickup truck stolen from a neighbored in the Tunnel Road corridor overnight Monday into Tuesday.
  
The theft is part of an investigation into burglaries involving unlocked vehicles on four roads in that area, police said. 

Regarding the stolen truck, the Connecticut registration plate reads 944-CGB and it is a tan 2003 Toyota Tacoma, police said. The Toyota was stolen out of the victim’s driveway on Scott Drive, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Vernon Police at 860-872-9126. Callers can remain anonymous.

Vernon Police are reminding residents to lock all vehicles, and to not leave valuables in a car. Residents are urged to report any suspicious activity they see by immediately calling the police. Police around the state have noticed an increase in overnight car-related crimes, according to a news release.
