Vernon Police: Man Who Went on Wyoming Killing Spree Had a Pending Pistol Permit Application

Police released the permit on Monday.

Christopher Krumm had a pending pistol permit in Vernon at the time he traveled from Vernon to Wyoming and stabbed a woman to death, killed his father with a bow and arrow and eventually killed himself, Vernon police said.

Vernon police released a copy of the state permit application at a news conference on Monday.

Krumm, 25, had been living in a rented room at an apartment house at 24 Grove St. "for a few months," police said.

He went on the killing spree Friday and did not have a handgun permit, police said.

Krumm came to the Vernon Police Department on Oct, 17 and filed the permit application, police said. He was fingerprinted and the application was pending.

The 5-foot-10, 150-pound Krumm would have turned 26 on Dec. 19, according to the permit.

He was born in Lander, WY and before living in Vernon he resided at 1607 Main Street in Springfield, MA and at 3740 Hawthorn Ave in Casper, WY, according to the application. He has a Connecticut driver's license and his phone carried a Washington state area code, according to the application.

His latest job was at Broadband Access Services. An Internet search turned up a company by that name with an Connecticut office at 5 Glen Rd. in Manchester.

He had an electrical background, his employment history on the application indicates.

Krumm indicated on the application that he had never been arrested, never had a restraining order issued against him and was never in the military. He claimed to be a National Rifle Association member.

The permit was formally dated two days after he visited the police department - on Oct. 19.

You could set up a feeding station with a trail-cam ; you can see if he's coming around. TrailRead More cams run from $60 to $200 - but I have a "cheapy" $80 that does night time and day time shots and is fantastic, so the cheaper cams are very good.

Go out late a "night", when it is very quite, call his name. I have found many cats thisRead More way, because house cats don't like a lot of noise and are very afraid. Your cat is hiding, will be afraid to come out. Look in areas were there is woods, secluded areas.
