Vernon Police Make Two Drug-Related Arrests

A re-arrest order was issued for one man.

Police made two drug-related arrests on Wednesday.

At 4:20 p.m., police noticed 22-year-old Genero Travis Jones at the Court House Plaza, 20 East Main St. A re-arrest order has been issued for him by the state judicial system, after he failed to pay a fine related to possession of less than a half-ounce of cannabis, police and judicial records indicate.

Police took him into custody and charged him with failure to respond to a payable infraction.

His bond was set at $90 and he was assigned a court date of Feb. 12, police said.

Jones lives in a basement apartment at 22 Ward St., police said.

About a hour earlier Vicki Sendra, 55, was stopped for a traffic violation, police said. Police found prescription drugs that did not belong to her and charged her with obtaining drugs illegally and narcotics possession, according to an arrest report.

Police said her original charge was am emissions violation.

She was released on a $500 bond and is slated to appear in court on Feb. 12, police said.

Sendra lives at 35 Parkwest Dr., police said.
