A Vernon woman has been charged with sixth-degree larceny after an alleged shoplifting incident at the TJ Maxx store n the Tri-City Plaza, police said.

Tara Gordon, 30, of 17 Regan St., was assigned a court date of Dec. 18 after posting a $500 nod, police said.

Police were called by store security staff members at 6:27 p.m. on Monday, according to an arrest report. They told police they witnessed Gordon trying to take a hair care appliance, according to an arrest report.

A South Windsor Woman was charged with failure to respond to a payable violation when she was arrested on Monday after surrendering on a warrant, police said.

Allahedita Chaudhry, 24, was released on a $150 bond and assigned a Dec. 18 court date, police said.
