Vernon Police Arrest Manchester Man After Fight at Free Spirit

He is facing three charges.

A Manchester man apparently became a little too wet at a Vernon watering hole during his Saturday night revelry that lasted into the early morning hours on Sunday, police said.

At 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, Vernon police responded to a large fight at the Free Spirit Cafe on Kelly Road off Route 83, according to an arrest report.

Elijah Richardson, 29, of 173 Spruce St., Manchester, allegedly assaulted a bouncer at the establishment and broke a piece of jewelry in the process, police said.

According to an arrest report, he has been charged with:

• Third-degree assault.

• Second-degree breach of peace.

• Second-degree criminal mischief.

He was released on a $2,500 bond and is due in court on Nov. 15, police said.
