A Vernon man is due in court on Nov. 6 after he was charged with two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault, police said.
Juan Ayala, 54, was taken into custody at 8 p.m. on Tuesday on a warrant, police said. A police spokesman said he had "non-consentual" contact with an 18-year-old girl.
Ayala lives at 6 Oak Street, police said.
His bond was set at $25,000, police said.
The girl had filed a complaint about the alleged incident, police said.
