Vernon, DEEP Police Team up on Warrant Arrest

The arrest was made at Walker Reservoir.

Local and environmental police on Saturday teamed up to take a Vernon man wanted for skipping out on court into custody, according to an arrest report. 

At 4:35 p.m. on Saturday, Vernon police received a call to assist a state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection officer with taking Michael Phair into custody at Walker Reservoir. 

There was a warrant issued for the re-arrest of Phair on March 20 for a sixth-degree larceny case out of Torrington, court records indicate.

He now has a charge of second-degree failure to appear added to his case, police said. Phair, 23, lives at 19 Cottage St., according to an arrest report. 

Phair was released on a $500 bond and os scheduled to appear in Bantam Superior Court on April 15, police said.
