Update: Police Say Missing Woman Could be in Danger

Missing woman left behind her children, valuables, according to police.

Vernon police said this morning that they are still "vigorously'' searching for a missing woman.

Police said that Marianne MacKinnon, 30, was last seen leaving a local convenience store at about 3 a.m. on Tuesday. No one has seen or heard from her since, and she could be in danger, police said.

Police said she lives in Vernon but did not release an address for her. Police said that MacKinnon works as a dancer at the Sweet Hearts gentlemen's club. Co-workers have expressed concern about her well-being, police said. Police said those interviewed in the case said that MacKinnon leaving is "completely out of character.''

Police said she may have been depressed recently. Police also said she could have been involved in a domestic situation. She left behind her two children and valuables, police said.

MacKinnon is 5-foot-4, about 125 pounds, has blue eyes and brown hair, police said. She has numerous tattoos on her chest and arms, police said.

Anyone with information can call the Vernon Police Department at 860-872-9126 and refer to case No. 11-10063.
