Two Residents Charged After Incidents at Store

Both were domestic-related, police said.

Two fights in two separate instances at Cumberland Farms landed second-degree breach of peace charges - and more - on a pair of Vernon residents over the weekend, according to police reports. 

The Cumberland Farms store is located at 333 Talcottville Rd.

On Saturday at 5:30 a.m., police responded to a domestic complaint involving Dylan Lee Harris, 27, of 95 Hockanum Boulevard, police said. The address is close to the store.  

Harris was allegedly arguing with a woman about relationships in a tirade strewn with foul language, police said. He then got into it with another customer and police officers, according to an incident report. 

That landed him with an interfering charge in addition to breach of peace, police said. 

He smashed a bottle while yelling at police and was also charged with littering, according to an incident report. 

At 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Bob Ba Tran, 55, of 125 Union St., was charged with third-degree assault and first-degree unlawful restraint in addition to breach of peace, police said. 

He was driving along Talcottville Road, arguing with a woman, when the woman asked him to stop near Cumberland Farms and she exited the vehicle, according to a n incident report. 

Tran attempted to get the woman back into the car and she allegedly injured here head during the process, according to an incident report. The woman went into the store and Tran followed her, police said. 

Officers then arrived and took Tran into custody, according to an incident report.
