Two Charged After Separate Tri-City Plaza Shopfitfing Incidents

One of those arrested is also facing drug charges, police said.

Vernon police responded to two shoplifting incidents at Tri-City Plaza on Saturday.

At 1:30 p.m., police arrested Glorious Menefee, 22, of 425 Zion St., Hartford.

She was charged with sixth-degree larceny after she was caught stealing from the TJ Maxx store, according to an arrest report.

Menefee was released on a $500 bond and was assigned Feb. 19 court date, police said.

Michael Potvin, 31, was also charged with sixth-degree larceny after a shoplifting incident at Price Chopper, police said. 

Potvin has no known address, police said.

Drugs were also found on him, according to an arrest report, and he was charged with possession of illegal narcotics and the use of drug paraphernalia, police said.

He was also charged with interfering with police, according to an arrest report.

He was being held on a $5,000 bond while awaiting a Monday court appearance, police said.
