Police: Tuesday Morning Accident in Vernon Involved a Tolland Man and Ellington Woman

Route 30 was shut down for two hours during the morning commute.

A Tolland man and an Ellington woman were the respective drivers of a motorcycle versus car collision on Route 30 in Vernon during the Tuesday morning rush hour, a police report indicates.

The crash took place at 8:40 a.m. on Route 30 near the intersections of Route 31 and East Street.

The motorcyclist was identified as 22-year-old Joshua Lutrario of 258 Kozley Rd., Tolland. Life Star helicopter had been called to the scene and police said he was in stable condition in an area hospital.

Driving the car at the time of the crash was Janelle Foltz, 26, of 3 Davis Ave., Ellington. The accident report mentioned no injuries for her.

An accident reconstruction team was at the scene from about 9 to 11 a.m. The road was reopened at that time.
