Troop C Blotter - Thanksgiving Weekend

Arrests through Sunday.

Arrest information is furnished by the state police Troop C barracks and does not indicate a conviction. 

Tolland

Nov. 27

At 1:18 a.m., Kevin Obriant, 49, of 64 Valley View Dr., Tolland was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault, state police said. 

Marie Helen Obriant, 47, of the same address, was charged with disorderly conduct, state police said. 

The incident was a "non-active domestic" reported by Rockville General Hospital as a woman was being treated there, state police said. Marie Obriant was charged at the hospital and Kevin Obriant was arrested and taken to the Troop C barracks by state police, according to a report.
 
Nov. 30

Omar Gonzalez, 29, of Lawrence, MA, was charged with DUI, failure to drive in the proper lane and driving without a license at 2 a.m., state police said. 
He was traveling west on I-84, state police said. 

He failed a series of field sobriety tests, state police said.  

Ellington

Nov. 27

At 8:03 p.m., Mark Johansen, 48, was charged with DUI after a stop on Windsorville Rd., state police said. 

He lives at 7 Eldridge Place, Ellington, state police said. 

He was also charged with failing to wear a seat belt, state police said. 

Nov. 28

At 4:17 a.m. on Route 83, state police police charged Juan Carlos Ayala, 33, of Springfield, MA, with operating a motor vehicle without a license, a report indicates. 

He had no identification in the car, state police said. 

Somers

Nov. 28

At 3:11 a.m. on Springfield Road, Charles Hill, 53, of Indian Orchard, MA, was charged with DUI and failure to drive in the proper lane, state police said. 
He failed a series of field sobriety tests after the stop, state police said. 

Stafford 

Nov. 30

Robert Young, 51, of 15 East St., Vernon, was charged with DUI after being alerted about a man driving erratically in a parking lot on West Stafford Road, state police said. 

Police arrived, Young was identified by witnesses and he was taken into custody, state police said. 

Mansfield

Dec. 1

Luke Wiles, 21, of Frederick, MD, was charged with DUI, failure to drive right, and a stop sign violation on Separatist Road at 11:57 p.m., state police said.  
He was observed driving erratically, state police said.
