Three Vernon Car Crashes in 88 Minutes on Friday

The took place n a relatively small area.

Vernon police officers, firefighters and ambulance crews had to respond to three motor vehicle crashes in 88 minutes on Friday afternoon.

All were concentrated in a small radius in town.

At 1:11 p.m., there was a wreck at 520 Hartford Turnpike, the Vernon Commons strip mall.

Sixteen minutes later, two cars collided at the intersection of Loveland Hill Road and Talcottville Rd. An officer who was at the scene said the crash did not involve a Rockville High School student.

There was an accident on West Road at 2:39 p.m. The cars involved had to be moved off the road and into the Garden Barn parking lot, police said.
