Task Force Breaks Up Alleged Coke Sale in Rockville Plaza

Three people were charged.

The East Central Narcotics Task Force on Thursday broke up a suspected cocaine-selling operation during a bust at a commercial plaza in Rockville, according to a news release. 

Task force officers set up a buy/bust operation at the Court House Plaza on an alleged crack dealer named Quinton Robinson, according to a news release. 

Robinson was taken into custody along with Jasmine Rodriguez and Patrick Tanasi after a deal for crack cocaine took place in the parking lot off East Main St., police said. All suspects were taken into custody without incident, police said. 

Task force members seized 3.1 grams of crack cocaine, $330 in cash and other drug paraphernalia during the bust, according to a news release. Task force members also served three arrest warrants on Robinson for various narcotics charges, according to a news release.     

Robinson has been arrested several times in Connecticut, police said. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected in the case, police said.  

Police said Robinson, 31, of 23 Center St., Windsor Locks, was charged with:  
• Conspiracy/Possession of Cocaine.
• Conspiracy/Sale of Cocaine.
• Conspiracy/Sale of Cocaine within 1,500 feet of a School.
• Conspiracy/Possession of Cocaine within 1,500 feet of a School.
• Accessory/Sale of Cocaine.
• Accessory/Sale of Cocaine within 1,500 feet of a School.
• Bond: $100,000 surety.    

Two of the three warrants against Robinson were for the sale and possession of cocaine and each carried a $150,000 bond, police said. 

The charges on the third warrant were more extensive: 
• Conspiracy/Possession of Cocaine.
• Conspiracy/Sale of Cocaine.
• Conspiracy/Sale of Cocaine within 1,500 feet of a School.
• Conspiracy/Possession of Cocaine within 1,500 feet of a School.
• Accessory/Sale of Cocaine.
• Accessory/Sale of Cocaine within 1,500 feet of a School.
• Risk of Injury.
• Bond: $200,000.

Police said Rodriguez, 34, of 80 Linden St., Manchester, was charged with:  
• Conspiracy/Possession of Cocaine.
• Conspiracy/Sale of Cocaine.
• Conspiracy/Sale of Cocaine within 1,500 feet of a School.
• Conspiracy/Possession of Cocaine within 1,500 feet of a School.
• Sale of Cocaine.
• Possession of Cocaine.
• Bond: $50,000 surety.    

Police said Tanasi, 36, of 49 Fairfield St., Manchester was charged with:  
• Conspiracy/Possession of Cocaine.
• Conspiracy/Sale of Cocaine.
• Conspiracy/Sale of Cocaine within 1,500 feet of a School.
• Conspiracy/Possession of Cocaine within 1,500 feet of a School.
• Bond: $15,000 non-surety. 

The East Central Narcotics Task Force consists of officers from Manchester, South Windsor, Vernon and Glastonbury.
