A South Windsor man crashes into a utility pole, police said.

A South Windsor man crashed his vehicle into a utility pole on Saturday night and then was found with a firearm inside it, police said.

Joshua, Warfield, 24, of 20 Babcock Rd., South Windsor, was arrested at 9:20 p.m., police said. He was charged with driving under the influence, illegally carrying a firearm and making an improper lane change, according to an arrest report.

His bond was set at $5,000 and je is due in court on Feb. 7, police said.



Police arrested a Vernon woman just after 1 a.m. on Saturday and charged her with possession of narcotics and the use of drug paraphernalia, according to an arrest report.

Brianna Snyder, 22, was taken into custody at the Woodmere Place condominium complex at 655 Talcottville Rd., police said.

Police said she lives in Unit 165 at the complex.

She is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 14, police said.

Her bond is $1,000, according to an arrest report.



Owen Recchio, 29, of 45 Prospect St., Stafford, has been charged with twice violating his probation and failure to appear in court.

He was arrested at 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Stop & Shop Plaza on Pitkin Road, police said. He was assigned two $10,000 bonds and a $20,000 bond and was to appear in court on Monday, police said.



Two Vernon men are facing disorderly conduct charges after an altercation at their 132 West Main St. apartment at 1:06 p.m. on Saturday, police said.

Colin McCarthy, 51, and Douglas Waitkevicz, 36, were to appear in court on Monday, police said.



A South Windsor man has been charged with breach of peace and threatening after an incident at 4 a.m. on Saturday outside the Free Spirit Cafe.

James Trinks, 47, was allegedly involved in a fight with his girlfriend outside the establishment on Kelly Road after sending her text messages indicating he was going to harm her, according to an arrest report.

His girlfriend said he held her wrists and would not let go. Trinks admitted to the text messages, but denied restraining the woman, according go an arrest report.

He was to appear in court on Monday on $1,000 bond, police said.



A 35-year-old Vernon man has been charged with DUI and making an improper lane change aft an incident at 2:58 a.m. on Saturday, police said.

David Barnard, of 80 Grove St., was released on a $500 bond and is due in court on Feb. 6, police said.



At 8:10 on Friday night, police were dispatched to 21 Progress Ave. for a domestic disturbance. According to an arrest report, Matthew Isham, 24, of that address, was taken into custody and charged with second-degree breach of peace.

He was released on a $500 bond and was to appear in court on Monday, police said.
