Rockville Landlord Facing Charge That He Failed to Heat Home

The home in question is on Brooklyn Street.

A Rockville landlord is facing a criminal charge that he has been failing to provide heat to an apartment this winter, Vernon police said.

A warrant had been issued for the arrest of Brett Inlow, 34, of 5 Livery Pool Rd., Hartford, police said. He surrendered to Vernon police at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday and was booked for violating state heath regulations, according to an arrest report.

He was released on a $500 bond and assigned a court date of March 5, according to an arrest report.

Police said the initial complaint was registered on Jan 13 by residents - and it came across the police call log as a disorderly incident.

A couple and a 19-month-old were living in the house, police said. Inlow claimed he was unaware of the child in the home, police said. Police said he claimed the apartment could have been occupied by people who were not on the lease.

A disorderly call to the residence is also on the Dec. 10 log and a call for assistance to the residence shows up on the Jan. 15 activity log. The house sits next to a large brick complex, down the hill from the Tolland County civil courthouse.
