Report: Suspect Showered with Charges After being Found in a Tub
Another man was charged with several offenses, police said.
Vernon police found a wanted man hiding in a bathtub on Vernon Avenue over the weekend after they went to his residence to serve a warrant.
Joshua James Bryant, 32, of 65 Vernon Ave., was wanted for first-degree unlawful restraint and third-degree assault as a result of a domestic incident on Nov. 23, police said. During the incident, he allegedly assaulted a woman, police said.
Officers arrived at the home at 8:45 p.m. on Friday and, after they were let inside, they noticed Bryant dash from sight, according to a report.
Meanwhile, they saw Jeremy Jablonowski, also 32 and also of that address, with a plastic bag of suspected cocaine, according to a report. Jablonowski became uncooperative, said Bryant was not in the home, and tried to discard the plastic bag, according to a report.
He was arrested and charged with the delivery of drug paraphernalia, narcotics possession, tamping with evidence, third-degree hindering prosecution and interfering with police, according to a report.
Meanwhile Bryant was located hiding in a bathtub inside the home, police said.
In addition to the charges listed in the warrant, he was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, interfering and second-degree breach of peace, police said.
