Protective Order Issued at Pino Arraignment
Though the arraignment in the case of the Vernon school psychologist charged with 2nd-degree sexual assault was continued until Feb. 1, 2012, a protective order was issued by the judge.
On a slow day in between the holidays, David Pino, the Vernon school psychologist and voyeurism for an incident occurring on Nov. 14, 2011, was in court yesterday for arraignment.
Judge Howard Scheinblum issued a full protective order against the victim in the case. The identity of the victim remained confidential due to the nature of the crime, and the warrant remains sealed, according to the court clerk.
Pino's attorney, Diane Polan, said, "I want to state for the record that I think she is a complainant and don't believe she is necessarily a victim."
