Police: Vernon Man Tried to Obtain Drugs Illegally

The man is accused of trying to pass a fake prescription.

A Vernon man is facing three charges after trying to obtain drugs with a phony prescription at a local CVS, according to a police report.

Raul Apachite, 27, of 46 Rockledge Drive, was arrested at 4:47 p.m. on Monday at the CVS located at 22 Windsor Ave.

He is charged with attempted possession of narcotics, carrying a forged prescription and second-degree forgery, according to an arrest report.

Bond was set at $2,000 and he is due in court on Nov. 29, police said.
