Police: Vernon Man Caught in Alcohol Sting
Undercover officers witness transaction as part of enforcement grant, police said.

Vernon police on Wednesday formally charged Syedmohib Taweed or 695 Talcottville Road with the illegal sale of liquor to a minor. He is scheduled to answer the charge in court on June 28.
Police said Taweed surrendered to authorities after learning a warrant had been issued for his arrest.
The warrant was issued after an incident on May 27 - two days after Taweed's 22nd birthday - in which he purchased alcohol for a minor, police said, Undercover officers witnessed the transaction as part of an underage alcohol enforcement grant, police said.
