A Vernon couple was taken into custody late Tuesday night after an argument turned physical, police said.
Police said they responded to a domestic incident at 51 South Grove St. at 11:29 p.m. on Tuesday. Both Sarah Bennett, 29, and Christopher Deline, 38 admitted to "pushing and shoving" each other during an argument, according to an arrest report.
They were both charged with second-degree breach of peace.
The two are engaged, according to an arrest report.
Deline is also accused of hitting his fiancee in the mouth and was charged with third-degree assault, police said.
Both were released on $500 bonds and are to appear in court on Wednesday, police said.
