Police: Three-Peat Offender Charged in Another Domestic Incident

The woman is facing an alleged protective order violation, police said.

A Vernon woman with a history of domestic incidents over the past 367 days has been charged again, an arrest report indicates.

On Tuesday at 6:40 p.m., Melissa Davis, 27 was taken into custody and charged with violating a protective order, police said.

According to an arrest report, officers received an anonymous tip that Davis was at a Terrace Drive residence she is barred from being near. Her address is listed at 191 Terrace Dr., police said.

She was arrested charged and held on a $500 bond for a Wednesday court appearance, police said.

On May 24, Officers were called to 191 Terrace Dr. at 1:15 a.m. where Davis, 26, who lives at that address, was fighting with her live-in boyfriend, police said.

She was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree breach of peace and risk of injury to a child, according to an arrest report.

The boyfriend had minor injuries, police said. The risk of injury charge stems from Davis allegedly throwing furniture around the home near a sleeping child, police said.

Davis has also been charged with interfering/resisting for scuffling with officers after they arrived, police said. She resisted being handcuffed and then wrestled with police as they tried to put her in the back seat of a cruiser.

Davis wriggled one hand out of the cuffs and had to be re-cuffed, police said.

On Aug. 19, Davis was involved in a heated domestic incident, according to an arrest report.

Police said Davis began arguing with her live-in boyfriend after he spoke with his estranged wife about the status of their two children. During the argument, Davis restrained the boyfriend and prevented him from leaving the apartment, police said.

He was not injured, police said, but Davis was charged with unlawful restraint and breach of peace, both in the second degree.
