Police Searching for Robbery Suspects

Suspects seem to have struck in Vernon, Windsor and Glastonbury.

Vernon police are looking for two suspects involved in a robbery on Wednesday night at the Naina Food Mart, 81 Union St.

 The suspects match the description of those who were involved in similar robberies inand Glastonbury, Vernon Police said.

 Police said that at 7:52 p.m. on Wednesday, they received a report of an armed robbery at the convenience store. Police said a clerk told them that one person entered the store, armed with a large knife, and threatened to kill the clerk if he did not cooperate.

 The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes before fleeing the store, police said.

 Police said the clerk was unharmed.

The robber was described, police said, as either a white or light-skinned Hispanic man with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans, and fled the scene in a blue, extended-cab Dodge pickup truck, police said.

The vehicle was last seen on Union Street, heading east, police said. Police said they later determined the vehicle was stolen.
