Police: Repeat Drunken Driver Left Herself in the Dark

Police said 21-year-old now has two DUI incidents.

A repeat DUI offender who is just at the legal drinking age was spotted driving on Union Street with her car's headlights off over the weekend and was stopped and arrested for driving under the influence, police said.

At 11:44 p.m. on Friday, Kristina Marie Kloo, 21, a resident of 45 Vernon Ave., was observed driving her vehicle near 185 Union Street with no lights on, according to an arrest report. That is in the vicinity of the 7-Eleven on Union Street.

As police began questioning her, a distinct odor of alcohol was in the car, and Kloo admitted drinking alcohol before driving, according to the report.

Kloo then failed a standardized field sobriety test and was taken into custody, police said. It is her second DUI incident, according to the arrest report.

She is charged with DUI and failure to display lights. Bond was $500 and Kloo is scheduled to appear in court on June 13, police said.
