Police Release Name of Man Killed Sunday in Mansfield Motorcycle Crash

A 32-year-old Ellington man was fatally injured in Sunday's motorcycle crash in Mansfield Depot, according to reports.

State police have released the name of a motorcycle rider killed Sunday in a crash at a railroad crossing on Route 44, Middle Turnpike, the Hartford Courant reported.

Ashley D. Chasse, 32, of Maple Street in Ellington died in when his motorcycle left the road in Mansfield Depot, near 70 Middle Turnpike, the Courant reported, citing state police.

Chasse's Harley Davidson was headed west at about 6:45 p.m. when it left the side of the road, hit a utility pole and a railroad crossing pole about half a mile west of the intersection of Rts. 44 and 32, the Courant reported.
