Police News: Two DUI Arrests in Vernon

Man also picked up on an assault warrant.

At 1:01 a.m. today, Vernon police stopped a car driven by 30-year-old Keith Oullette of 78 Tanner St., Manchester for a marker light violation, according to an arrest report.

Police discovered he was intoxicated and arrested him for DUI and faulty equipment on his motor vehicle, according to an arrest report.

He was released on a $500 bond and is due in court on Aug. 15.

Vernon police said that at 10:22 p.m. on Thursday, they responded to a single-car crash on West Main Street in front of the Rockville Tavern.

Police said Heather Petrozza, 32, of 12 Florence Ave., Ellington, was found passed out at the wheel. Police said she was "highly intoxicated.''

She has been charged with DUI and driving in an improper lane.

Bond was set at $500 and Petrozza is due in court on Aug. 15, police said.

While on routine patrol in Rockville at 8 p.m. on Thursday, an officer noticed a man he knew as Fahad Khan riding a bicycle on East Main Street, police said.

The officer believed there was an outstanding warrant against Khan, so he ran his name through a criminal database and it revealed Khan was wanted for third-degree assault, police said.

Khan was taken into custody. Bond was set at $500 and he is being held in a $500 bond, awaiting a Aug. 16 court date.
