Police: More Traffic on Woman's Already Congested Record

Her re-arrest had been ordered by the court.

A Vernon woman who has three active court cases against her was taken into custody by Rockville beat cops on Thursday afternoon and was booked on six sets of fresh charges, an arrest report indicates.

Taylor Marie Williams, 22, of 248 West St., was taken into custody at 5:40 p.m. The court system had ordered her re-arrested last month on three sets of motor vehicle charges from March and June of 2012, court records indicate.

The charges range from driving without a license, to failing to carry insurance to failing to register a car to evading responsibility and she had skipped out on court dates for the charges, according to judicial system records.

The new charges against Williams include two sets of probation violation incidents, failure to respond to a payable violation and two sets of failure to appear in the second degree.

Williams was also charged with the use of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hallucinogen and interfering with police.

A police spokesman said that while on patrol on Hartford Turnpike near Bolton Road, officers noticed Williams in a passing car, confirmed she was wanted and pulled the car over.

Williams refused to cooperate and the officers tried to remove her. In the process, William escaped, was chased down over a short distance and had to be brought to the ground before being taken into custody, a police spokesman said while reading the case report.

A substance suspected to be synthetic cannabis was found in the vehicle, along with drug equipment, police said.
