Police: Man Stabs Himself During Domestic

An infant was present, a report indicates.

A who man stabbed himself during a weekend domestic incident is now facing three charges, police said. 

Jose Rodriguez, 41, of 104 Grand Ave., was charged with risk of injury to a child, second-degree breach of peace and second-degree reckless endangerment, police said. 

He surrendered to Vernon police at 12:05 a.m. on Friday, according to a report. 

On Dec. 7, Rodriguez was involved in a domestic dispute, according to a report. With an infant present, the 6-foot-1, 340-pound Rodriguez took out a knife and stabbed himself in the abdomen, a police report indicates. 

He was taken to St, Francis hospital, police said. Police received a complaint and a warrant was filed, according to a report. 

He is due in court on Thursday, judicial system records indicate.
