Police Investigating Reported Car-Jacking at the House Where Wyoming Killer Lived

Police gave no indication the incidents were related.

Vernon Detectives are investigating a reported car-jacking that took place on Friday at the same Rockville tenement in which the man who went on a killing spree in Wyoming lived, a police spokesman said on Monday.

The incident took place on Friday at about 5 a.m. behind the red house at No. 24 Grove St., near Amerbelle, police said. Two masked assailants wearing dark clothing came at the driver of a 1998 Honda Civic with a baseball bat and stole the car, police said.

No arrests have been made in the case and the suspects are still at large, police said.

Anyone with information about the case can call Vernon police at 860-872-9126.

The house has been described by police as a "shared living situation," with rooms for rent and common bath facilities.

Christopher Krumm lived there briefly before he went on a killing spree in Casper, WY, in early December. Krumm, 25, traveled from Vernon to Wyoming, where he killed a woman with a knife, his father with a bow and arrow and then himself, Casper police said.

Police said nothing about the two crimes being related.
