Police: Enfield Man Found Passed Out in His Car

Car was on stopped on Route 83, police said.

An Enfield man was found passed out and slumped over the steering wheel of his car on Route 83 early this morning and is facing DUI and drug charges as a result, police said.

At 12:30 this morning, police found Peter Jerrod Hennessy's car stopped on the Windsor Avenue section of Route 83, according to an arrest report. He was unresponsive and the doors were locked, police said.

Hennessy, 27, lives at 23 Colonial Dr., Enfield, police said.

Police had to force their way into the car to get to Hennessy and, once inside the vehicle, they discovered drug paraphernalia and prescription pills, according to an arrest report.

The drug paraphernalia tested positive for heroin, police said.

Hennessy is facing several charges:

• Failure to keep narcotics in their original container.

• DUI.

• Illegal possession of narcotics.

• The use of drug paraphernalia.

He was being held this morning on a $2,500 bond and was scheduled to be transported to court today.
