OMG PD: Cop Impersonation, Urination and a Dog "Arrest"

The Case: State Police said that a contacted Troop C to report that he had stopped a motor vehicle on Route 195 that he believed was being operated by an impaired driver.

OMG PD Factor: When police arrived on the scene, officers determined that the alleged impaired driver was not operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol and was allowed to leave the scene, according to police. The wannabe cop was charged with use of improper high beams/red lights/and flashing lights and impersonation of a police officer, according to an arrest report.



The Case: A tried petting a small Maltese dog at a CVS store, but ended up with small wounds on his hand when he was bitten by the pooch, according to local police.

OMG PD Factor: The dog was “arrested” and held for two weeks in quarantine by Wilton Animal Control, police said.



The Case: An 18-year-old man was arrested by Farmington police after heon the side of the road, police said. Some alcohol and two underage passengers were in his vehicle at the time, police said.

OMG PD Factor: The man reportedly urinated on a speed trailer set up by the police department.

The Case: In Woodbridge, a 17-year-old reportedly lashed out at a teacher with a litany of profanities and was charged with creating a public disturbance.

The OMG PD Factor: According to police, the Amity Regional High School teacher confronted the student, who was smoking in the parking lot. That’s when the student, whose name was withheld, reportedly lost control.


The Case: In , a man and a woman faced a plethora of drug and motor vehicle charges after their pickup truck nearly hit a police lieutenant in a marked cruiser head-on.

OMG PD Factor: The Lieutenant managed to make a U-turn, pull over the vehicle in a church parking lot and confront the driver, who said he swerved into the wrong lane because he happened to be snorting heroin while driving.
