The case: A Fairfield resident called police to say she could not get into her .

The OMG-PD twist: The resident, who lives at 61 Longfellow Ave., said that all her car locks had been glued. According to police, the make of the car is a 1996 Volvo 850. There was no further information about a motive or an estimate of the damage.

The case: In Greenwich, a Polish-born New York socialite who made headlines in June following her arrest for shoplifting an $11,000 fur-lined scarf, was arrested again by Greenwich Police for another shoplifting charge.

The OMG-PD Twist: Beata Boman, who was once linked to Prince Andrew, surrendered at Greenwich Police headquarters was charged with fifth-degree larceny in connection with the theft of a scarf, valued at $725, from Richard's of Greenwich.

The case: In Canton, a male juvenile told police that two individuals shot at him with a handgun, striking his bicycle helmet.

The OMG-PD twist: He tried to pin it on two other boys. Upon further investigation, police discovered that he fired the shot . He was not injured, police said.

The case: In West Hartford, an alert and sympathetic shopper noticed a inside a car during this week's heat wave.

The OMG-PD Twist: The heat was starting to get to the animal. Police arrived, opened the car and gave the dog a drink. The driver of the vehicle was charged with animal cruelty and the misuse of license plates. 



The case: In Vernon, a half-naked toddler was found wandering on the main road into Rockville by a passerby.

The OMG-PD twist: At first, the child did not know his address, police, said, but when he was able to lead an to his home, the officer called out and the mother simply yelled back from inside the house. She was arrested for risk of injury to a child.
