Narcotics Raid Leaves Vernon Resident With Charges

The drug task force executed a search warrant on Vernon Avenue.

A Vernon man is facing drug charges after his apartment was raided by police on Friday.

Members of the East Central Narcotics Task Force executed the search warrant at 17 Vernon Ave, apt. D, according to a news release.

Task force officers had developed information that "narcotic activity" was taking place at the address, according to a news release. Task force officers initiated an investigation and obtained sufficient evidence to secure a search warrant for the premises, police said. 

Task force officers seized a small amount of crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia, during the raid. A resident, 46-year-old Greg Berry, was arrested without incident, police said. 

The charges against Berry are possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a news release.

His bond was set at $5,000, non- surety, police said.
