Man Facing Charges After Traffic Stop

Police said they noticed he was not staying in the proper lane.

A 22-year-old South Windsor man is facing a drunken driving charge after a traffic stop early Sunday morning, Vernon police said.

Thomas Kaldy, of 110 Diane Dr., South Windsor, was pulled over at 1:08 a.m. on Sunday after a Vernon police officer noticed he was not staying in his lane at Grant and West streets, according to an arrest report.

Police asked him to perform standardized field sobriety tests at the scene, which he failed, according to an arrest report.

He was then transported to police headquarters and charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive right, police said.

He was released on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 21, police said.
