Man Facing Another Sex Charge

The man is already incarcerated for similar alleged violations.

A Vernon man with a record of sexual violations is facing another accusation that he had a relationship with a girl younger than 16, Vernon police said.

Christopher Tierinni, 28, who is currently incarcerated for similar charges through the East Hartford Police Department, was charged on Tuesday with illegal sexual contact with a victim younger than 16 and second-degree sexual assault of a minor, Vernon police said.

According to an arrest report, the charges stem from a two-month joint investigation involving not only Vernon police, but the state Department of Children and Families investigation unit, Manchester Police and East Hartford police.

Bond was set at $40,000 on the charges, police said.

Tierinni's Vernon address was 61 West St., Apt. 2, according to police records.

According to police records, he violated terms of a probation in June by repeatedly contacting a 15-year-old Manchester girl twice in the same week.

Tierinni had insisted he was not intimate with the girl, police said at the time of the arrest.

Police records indicate that Tierinni has a long criminal history that includes convictions for larceny, assault and various other crimes, including a 1998 conviction for first-degree sexual assault. Tierinni is on probation for that offense and listed on the state’s sex offender registry, police records indicate. The terms of his probation state that he cannot have contact with minors, according to police records.
