A 23-year-old was transported to the Vernon Police Department from Massachusetts on Friday to face charges that he has been non-compliant with the state sex offender registry, according to an arrest report.
Police said they picked up Andrew Polmatier in the Springfield courthouse. He is charged with failure to register as a sex offender in Vernon.
Police said Polmatier's address is 695 Talcottville Rd., Apt. 9-C, in Vernon - the Vernon Gardens complex.
He is listed on the registry as having been convicted of rape and child abuse in Massachusetts in 2006.
The registry lists him as non-compliant for failing to list an address change.
